Thank you for visiting my website and welcome to blog post number one! I wanted to just make a post to introduce myself, tell a little bit about me and how I got into the permanent makeup industry. Now, I'm not a natural born writer by any means. However, I have plenty to say so bare with me and we will get through this together! 👏
So, Hi 👋 I'm Kim. I am a permanent make-up artist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In my free time, I'm an busy mom with two kids of my own, currently ages 13 and 7, and two bonus kids ages 12 and 10. Obviously that takes up most of my spare time, but if there is any to myself I enjoy being active, riding my long board, and visiting places in Tulsa (anything from cool locally owned restaurants to Turkey Mountain!). I grew up mostly here in Owasso, and currently live in Collinsville (Go Cards!).
I have always had a passion for two things- beauty, and tattoos. So you can see how tattooing lips, eyeliner, and brows basically just combined my two favorite things! The permanent make-up industry is everything I could have ever asked for in starting a career that is both exciting and rewarding. The feeling you get when, for example, someone looks in the mirror after their brows are complete and smiles, even cries, is indescribable. It is an absolute honor that women (and some men!) put their trust in me to permanently mark their face. This is a huge responsibility but I love every second of it!
I took hands on training right here in Tulsa, consisting of 300 hours as per Oklahoma requirements. I also seek out regular and ongoing various in depth training for more advanced procedures. There is never a time as a permanent makeup artist that you know all there is to know. It is a career that is always evolving, always growing, and always changing as new techniques are developed. The ability to take my skill and knowledge, and help someone feel beautiful gives me satisfaction in my work, and makes even the long days rewarding. I take pride in earning client referrals and every 5 star Google review.
